employed.im are proud to be supporting young adults as the Island’s Work Experience Programme Co-ordinators in association with the Isle of Man Government’s Department of Education and Children.
As the Co-ordinator, we host each of the Island’s Schools annual Year 10 Work Experience Programme, liaising with the schools and employers to ensure that students gain a meaningful placement.
Through providing opportunities, organisations are able to help shape the future of the island’s workforce, and help young people make decisions about their future careers.
Meet our Work Experience Co-ordinator
Lorna Trevethan is employed.im’s Work Experience Co-ordinator and oversees the Island’s Schools Work Experience Programme:
“Working with young people and helping them to find placements that are interesting and meaningful to them is very important. Work Experience can help to steer young people to a career path and help them to gain knowledge about what qualifications and qualities they need for certain positions. It can motivate them to remain in school and study in order to achieve their career aspirations.”
