Ben is a Junior Software Developer based at CoinCorner who likes to explore the Island's outdoors in his free time.
CoinCorner is a cryptocurrency exchange based in the Isle of Man. Founded in 2014, CoinCorner currently operates in 47 countries worldwide and was one of the first exchanges to fall under any form of cryptocurrency legislation.
When I was 19, I completed the Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT from the University College Isle of Man. I graduated in 2017.
Before joining CoinCorner, I worked at an international company specialising in offshore bonds as a New Business Administrator.

What are the career opportunities in IT?
IT continues to be a growing industry and there are many different roles available, especially on the software development side.
What is your favourite thing about living on the Island?
I would have to say the outdoor activities. The Island has a lot of activities available, whether you like getting outdoors or staying in.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in software development?
I’ve always been interested in IT, particularly software development. I applied for a role at CoinCorner as working in IT and the cryptocurrency industry sounded exciting to me.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy having the opportunity to learn something new every day.
Do you have any role models that have helped inspire you?
CoinCorner’s co-founders, Danny, Phil and Charlie, have provided a great work environment which has helped me to develop my skills at a faster rate.
What are your aspirations?
I would love to have my own business one day!
