Summer Signpost Hotspots!

The Department of Education, Sports & Culture's Careers Services have put together a new summer careers & futures guidance initiative, which will run throughout the Summer Holidays!

There will be drop-in advice centres across the Island, the aim of these is to help those school leavers and existing students in deciding how they want to shape their future. There will be opportunities to find out more about getting into work & further education such as college, universities or Apprenticeships.

Whether you decide education is for you or choose a different path, there are different opportunities for you to consider. Results day is around the corner, if you have a plan in place relax and make the most of your summer holidays. If your plan doesn't work out or things change, whatever your results turn out to be don't panic. This is the start of a huge chapter of your life and there is an option available to help you to make the most of the opportunities and look toward a bright future.

You can drop into one of our summer signpost hotspots within your local area over the six week summer holiday starting from 22nd July 2019 until 30th August 2019. Call in and have a friendly chat with a youth worker or an adviser who will help you to understand your options and make those decisions about what to do next.

You can drop into any of the summer signpost hotspots but if you would like to find out more before calling in to see us contact andrew.mckinley@sch.im M: 471314 or kerry.moir@sch.im M: 338530. We will also be at the job centre and an appointment can be arranged by contacting 687014.
